God sends his word in all forms using all methods. It speaks to some through service, for others it's music or dance, for us it is through writing and reflection. I.F. Purdie |

My Testimony by I. Faith
In 2006 I received a kidney transplant by the Grace of God. I had been on dialysis and working full time for about 18 months. I was very tired and often wondered how much longer I could continue going at his pace. Two days before the transplant I had volunteered to work an hour at the registration desk at our company blood drive. When I went to have the complimentary lunch that was provided, there were place mats on the table that showed the various blood types and the percentage of people that had each type. I was particularly interested in this information because I was on the transplant list, which states that it can take five-to-seven years to receive a kidney in NY. I was dismayed and depressed to read that very few people had my blood type. I thought this process was going to be hopeless and resigned myself to living on dialysis for a long time. Just when I thought all hope was lost, within 48 hours I received the call that changed my life.
At about 2:00 am on Friday, October 20,2006 the hospital called with a kidney for me!. God had made a way where I thought there was no way. God had healed what man could not reinvent or create. God had taken another's untimely death and turned it into a miracle for me that day. I have been transplanted, transformed and made brand new. I have been given a second chance to lead a normal life. I give thanks to GOD every day. My GOD is an awesome God, healer, restorer, provider. Praise God all is well. |
